DEXTRO
CONSEQUENCE MUSIC
GRONLAND LTD

Dextro is 27 year old Glaswegian Ewan Mackenzie, and he makes fuzzy, slightly out of focus, shimmering instrumentals, with well structured layers that soar’n’weave & duck’n’dive. The opening ‘Bladder Wrack’ builds from the dark end of a bleak and deserted street, taking you into the hustle & bustle of the neon lit part of town, only to return on a self satisfied night bus journey home. Other highlights include ‘Atman’, which has got a very nostalgic feel, bringing old family super 8 cine films to mind. ‘El Viento’ which conjoconjurescenes of sunrise following the aftermath of a bloody battle, and the rather disturbing ‘Carotenoid’ is about as spooky as it can get. Dextro’s ‘Consequence Music’ is a film makers delight and must be amazing on LSD.
