No, it’s not a misprint – Earth, Wind & Fire are back! This, their twenty-third album at last count, teams founder members Maurice White, Philip Bailey, Verdine White and Ralph Johnson with some cracking guests, best of whom is Raphael Saadiq, who produces roughly half the album, and Kelly Rowland, who adds a gorgeous vocal to ‘This Is How I Feel’. When the boys groove, they do so in irresistibly funky fashion, as on ‘Lovely People’ and ‘Love’s Dance’, but the slower stuff is also tastefully done, thanks to Saadiq. Roll back the years and enjoy!
