Surrounded by funk he may be, but Freddy Fresh remains something of a
musical melting pot. On this record he has a shot at breakbeats, soul and
offbeat house, but remains at his best when mixing spoken samples, old time
riffs and hip hop beats. Intriguing guests on this record include the ex-Sneaker Pimps singer Keli Ali, who makes a disquieting appearance, plus
Younger Youth and Tostao. As always with Mr Fresh there’s plenty of
interest, and when he hits the groove it’s pretty hard to resist.
