JIM NOIR
TOWER OF LOVE
MY DAD

At the age of 23, Jim Noir is a Mancunian with his head firmly stuck in the clouds, drifting and floating around in a psychedelic haze. He’s been building a bit of a fan base for about a year now, having released three critically acclaimed EP’s, which all went on to reach sold out status. So those on the ball people at My Dad Recordings said to him, let’s put all the EP’s together and make them available as an album, Red Snapper, The Beta Band etc did it, and guess what, Jim Noir’s ‘Tower Of Love’ works just as well as the aforementioned. Heavily influenced by 60’s artists Love, The Beach Boys, The Kinks, The Seekers and The Beatles, with a touch of Super Furry Animals, Air and ELO. Jim Noirs happy go lucky LSD laced songs are full of fun with a melancholic twist, strumming alongside harmonies and some everyday life observations. ‘Eanie Meany’ is a sniggering nostalgic gem, ‘If you don’t give my football back, I’m gonna get my dad on you, I only Kicked it over your fence and broke a gnome or two’. ‘Tower Of Love’ is going to be one of those word of mouth albums, that’ll win over students, clubbers, trendy bar people and dinner part enthusiasts, Jim Noir is gonna be a name to drop.
