Julius Papp takes some time out from his busy production schedule to supply this rather juicy mix for quality imprint Loveslap Recordings. To put it simply, this is excellent. For not only do you get the genuine feeling of reward from this distinctive selection of quality music but you’re also left feeling impressed by the way the journey covers everything from the deep and soulful to joyful and uplifting. It sounds like he really enjoyed doing this, which is sometimes lost on some of the more mechanical mixes you hear these days. Track wise they’re all present and correct with Kenny Bodien’s vocals soaring soulfully alongside the anthemic ‘Sandcastles’, while Copyright’s fine re-edit of Deep Sensation’s ‘Somewhere Somehow’ sits comfortably with Marlon D’s magnificently moody ‘U C Anthem’. So what you waiting for.
