This is a download-only release from Koushik, a collection of short linked instrumentals from a man with a really good ear for colour and shade. The styles he uses are predominantly hip hop or slow disco, but that’s an over generalisation, as the beats are married to well constructed melodic loops or interesting snatches of sound. Most of the instrumentals are two minutes or less in length, which means they work well as linking material for DJs, or when listened to as a whole album, shifting between moods. A sound complement to last year’s ‘From My Window’ LP, only this one’s a bit more beat driven.
