Lyrics Born
Everywhere At Once
Anti

One of the founder members of the Quannum Projects label comes back with a new offering of hip hop mixed with a large slab of funk, a dash of humour and some incisive rapping from well chosen guests. Lyrics Born finds just the right blend between funky cuts suitable for partying (‘Don’t Change’ and ‘I Like It, I Love It’) and more introspective thoughts, such as the poignant ‘Is It The Skin I’m In?’ and ‘Whispers’. Throughout the beats are excellent, the rapping interesting and alive, and even the interludes are genuinely funny, rather than hot air posturing. As such this is a fine addition to the Lyrics Born cannon.
