Swedish electronica from a trio making an uncomfortable passage between analogue and digital. Where scratchy frequencies and loops are filtered, cycled and tested against piano and woodwind depressions and fragile vocal whimpers, ‘Coffeeshop’ and ‘Sorry’ dive down together into a lo-fi mire, and the mood is certifiably despondent (reaching harrowing point on ‘Lo-Fi Love’) in its shaping of uneasy relaxation. ‘Perfect Spot’ is a rare brightening of their methods including wind chimes and spinning coins, but the bits-n-bobs mobiles (baby calmers, not handheld phones) of ‘Although I Heard’ and ‘Who’s Playing’ are Midaircondo in snapshot Ð experimental negative ambience anyone?
