Miguel Migs
Those Things Remixed
Salted

In many way ways Miguel Migs’ ‘sound’ is characterised by the opening cut ‘Sometimes’. It’s all smooth house with big beats, snappy chorus hooks, funky guitar licks and those ubiquitous chilled touches that fuse so well with sultry vocals. Long at the forefront of the American house scene Ð due in no small part to the sheer consistency of his own releases Ð Migs is one of the San Francisco’s brightest dance stars. One listen to this collection highlights why he’s become one of the most sought after deep-house producers on the circuit and why ‘Those Things’ was one of the success stories of 2007. Now newly remixed it remains soulful in the main, but twists and turns from the heavy heavy funk of ‘Those Things’ to the organically grown electronica of ‘Giving It All’ and even the dub of ‘Fire’. Faze Action, Alix Alvarez, Crazy P and Rasmus Faber are among the remixers commissioned to apply they trade to the original versions, and it works to create another uber cool collection of cuts that ooze soulful self-assurance and palatable depth.
