GO – THE VERY BEST OF MOBY REMIXED
MUTE

On the back of the recent re-release of his legendary single ‘Go’ (the Trentemoller remix crushed all competition despite a worthy effort from the great Vitalic, both included here), now comes another Moby greatest hits. The New Yorker has long explored the possibilities of handing out tracks to dance producers of all kind and has compiled here eighteen re-rubs crammed into one CD, the credits looking like a who’s who of commercial-ish Euro (Benny Benassi, Mylo, Steve Angello, Push) with a few turns towards the US house sound (Armand Van Helden, Murk, Sandy Riviera) or rave (CJ Bolland). Apart from the afore-mentioned renditions of ‘Go’, two mixes have gracefully stood the test of time: Bob Sinclar’s re-rub of ‘We Are All Made Of Stars’ which (surprisingly) predicted an electro-pop future as well as the Rollo & Sister Bliss rework of ‘Honey’, arguably the pair’s best remix ever (classical-flavoured speed garage).
