Too Pure

This is a lovely, breezy album ideal for that come-down early morning moment or a cozy night in. There’s more to it than just that of course, as this is Letitia Sadier’s project, still her driving force while Stereolab remain on indefinite hold. The textures make this record, the keen ears of the band bringing through a warmth in their combinations of analogue and electronic. Trombones, strings and lovely warm synth sounds wash over the songs, which alternate between English and French, and make room for a few catchy choruses. These you can take or leave, depending on the mood – for this is pop music that enchants throughout.
