Only a few months after we featured his ‘Space Miami’ compilation, Nervous now release the Floridian’s new artist album in all its deep, dark and tribal glory. It’s a shrewdly structured opus of percolating beats, synth-driven basslines and tripped-out vocal fusing the Murk man’s trademark crystalline twisted grooves with oddball percussion and stark drums. Blending one track into the next the highs include the deep and dark vocal offerings ‘Angel’ and ‘You’ (the latter a remake of one of his earlier creations under the guise of Dynamo Electrix). While the Latin sound of South Beach is represented on the jazzier fusion house of ‘Pimp’ and ‘Miami’, and the dark drums of ‘Crunchy Haze’ draw comparisons to that city’s other dance native, Robbie Rivera. An album made almost exclusively for the club.
