Pete Rock
NY’s Finest
Nature Sounds

Are you one of those Hip-hop kids who just love that mid-nineties era of New York rap? Well here is something I think you’re going to adore and cherish. Yeh the new album from the legendary rapper/producer Pete Rock is an absolute must. It’s been a long-time since his last excursion ‘Soul Survivor 2’, in fact that’s was four years ago in 2004, but all is forgiven because here Pete Rock has come with something that will satisfy his core fan base as well as creating something with the potential of crossing him over into the mainstream. He has a superb string of guests including Jim Jones & Max B who rep Dipset with the super-sick ‘We Roll’, while ‘914’ sees D-Block’s Sheek Louch and Styles P get busy. Wu Tang members Raekwon The Chef, Masta Killa and Royal Flush also make an appearance, and if for some strange reason that still doesn’t wet your appetite then I should let you know that Redman, Little Brother, 40Glocc, Prodigy and Nyce also pass through the proceedings. The last track sees Pete Rock team-up with Papoose for a brilliant piano-led head-nodding track entitled ‘Comprehend’. All in all it’s fifteen tracks deep and every single track is quality. Go get it.
