Roots in version LP wtih alternative and bass-heavy mixes of recent Roots cuts.  This might be a better LP than the regular release – or better if you like the low-end dub theory of life. The best tracks recall the  peaks of dance culture nodding at Planet Rock, Zapp and even Basic Channel’s cavernous metal dub on ‘Things We Do’ and  ‘The World Is Mine’. There’s a few fussy cuts that don’t quite work but the bulk of the LP is stripped, hot and mean. Which is just about right unless Roots decides to go acoustic or folk in da future.
