It’s a tall order following ‘Staring Into Space but Craig Morrison and Graeme Reedie have more than lived up to its consolidation of their lush, pumping house music by taking another turn. The pair have changed their studio setup to one, interchangable workplace apiece and also further emphasised their use of live musicians. That was evident on flutetastic single, ‘The Snake Charmer’ and further blossoms with tracks like the ‘Damascene Moments’ and its ethereal guitar waftings. They still rock the old fleshy padding with disco-brass iron-riffed single ‘The Pact’ but ‘Dreaming Again’is a sublime electronic ballad with live guitar embroidery. ‘Bad Machines’ brings in the dreaded Phuture voice over its classic electrio-boogie riffage, but overall it’s a dreamy, intoxicating album which bears repeated hearings. A true progression.
