SILICONE SOUL
SAVE OUR SOULS
SOMA

If it ain’t broke, then it don’t need fixing, and Silicone Soul are proof of that. ‘Save Our Souls’ is the duo’s third album, and plays on their successful integration of house beats and cinematic textures. Fully rounded kick drums and well-loaded bass lines feature throughout, and in the case of the tougher ‘Bad Machines’ and ‘Venom’ this works especially wwell. Meanwhilethe flute in ‘Snakecharmer’ is just right, not overplayed, while the rush of strings that brings ‘When The Stars Became The Sun’ to a heads the high point of the album. No vocals this time round, but a finely tuned and atmospheric record nonetheless.
