SNOOZE
AMERICANA
OSTINATO

Dominique Dalcan muses as a hitchhiker taking in the scenery while he rides on the back of a ute. Including some subtle, supple house (‘The Wave’ and ‘Black Flowers’) doesn’t begin to tell the story; Snooze tips his Stetson as he twiddles the AM Dial with Gallic assurance, presenting pleasant consideration through delicately balanced harps/harmonicas (‘White Jazz’), flutes/shocked synths (‘Breakfast in Belfast’) for a spot of sunshine harmony and robotising as he sits back and thinks of the motherland (‘Home Is Where It Hurts’). Forty winks-worth of pedal/slide guitar pop with electric flourishes where the blue grass grows.
