Landstrumm’s discography would probably run to more space than is available here. Releasing music since 1994, he’s had releases on labels like Tresor, Peacefrog, and of course his own Scandinavia label, flirting between techno, hip-hop and more abstract material. This is his first full lengther for the Planet Mu label, and it almost explores the links between early 90’s hardcore / rave and todays grime / dubstep, mostly fastened to a techno undercurrent. No track titles on this promo, it’s much less manic than other rave associated obsessions on this label, finding Landstrumm in a playful mood, obviously having fun matching ragga shoutouts to breakbeats, Sheffield techno bleeps, ear-blistering bass and odd time signatures. Like a 60 minute audio history of the UK club scene from the past fifteen years (well, the good bits, anyway) but much more fun than that probably sounds.
