A self funded project, two years in the build from UK Trance DJ and Producer Carl Nicholson, ‘Iconiq’ is a fine collection of fresh music spanning multiple genres, and its sights firmly set on the more commercial floors and playlists. Whether you are into trance, house, breaks, electro, progressive, electronica, all bases are covered by this very exciting marriage of talent. With viral trance pianist Paul Skelton in the fold and legendary producer Dave Parkinson driving in the production seat, the finish and quality of each of the 12 tracks on offer is of course nothing short of outstanding. Powerful vocal contributions come from Niki Mak, Eileen Jame (Spinnin Records, Avicii), Sarah Howells and versatile rock man Renny Carroll, who’s slick vocal on highlight ‘Reset’ should put Synthsonic firmly in the picture for heavy playlists, radio and chart success. 100% the standout track of the album! Other equally enchanting highlights are the catchy Hed Kandi piano monster ‘Bring You Back’, lead track ‘Iconiq’ with its classic Emery vibes, ‘Resurrection’ with its arena-sized production, and apply titled DnB ‘Finale’ rounding off this diverse and multi-faceted statement from Synthsonic.
