A collaborative effort between Mark Rae and Rhys Adams, Yesking is a project that throws together a huge mixture of sounds to come up with something vital and original. Just a look at the guestlist confirms its broad sweep – Dawn Penn, Sweetie Irie, Pete Simpson and Kenny Knotts among them. ‘Circles’ is a particular highlight thanks to Ayak’s contribution, closely followed by Mystro on ‘One Of Those Days’. In truth, though, this album and its thoughtful lyrics are best experienced all in one go for maximum effect.
