After a stunning debut album release last year with ‘Two Leaves Falling’, a new collection of Soul, Funk, Latin, and Jazz with heartfelt songs lands on Bold Parade’s latest 4 track EP, ‘Core’. Opening with a divine Afro Disco vibe, ‘Foundation’ is an addictive smoking groove laced with upbeat brass hooks, funky guitars and drizzled with a catchy positive vocal from Africa’s Yanmife Ajolore. ‘Proxy 17’ is a snazzy Latin Jazz outing, where sublime vibes and trumpet solos from Antonie Veskovski and Jesse Ibidun glide over a backdrop of upbeat keys and percussive drums. The EP title track, ‘Core’, opens with a profoundly emotive piano intro before jumping into a brassy Trip Hop style affair, baited with an alluringly seductive vocal by Janessa J. Closing out the package, Marti Buchanan lends her stunning ethereal vocal tones to the classy retro-tinged downtempo excursion, ‘The Promise’.
