Japan’s DJ Kentaro can rock the turntables all night long, but he can also throw down the groove in the studio, as evidenced on this full-on assault. Somewhere between electro, breaks and hip-hop, it’s a pure aural filth, sounding as nasty as you like, bass frequencies driving midtempo slurred breaks, handclaps and some cool old school references way down in the mix. Baltimore’s Spank Rock feelgood rap completes the package for one of the sleaziest, chunkiest, most refreshing debuts in a while. Absolutely guaranteed to rock whenever it’s dropped.
