By now, you should have caught this New Zealand seven-piece on their recent UK tour, after the well-deserved success of their “Based On A True Story” long player (voted 2005’s Best Album on Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide show). This latest single is the perfect summer skank, a chilled to the core roots-reggae number with nods towards influences of classic American soul and jazz. DJ Vadim’s One Self give it a re-rub with added vocals for a slightly meatier alternative take.
