As soon as you hear Foreign Islands with Mark Ryan’s leering vocals, you can’t help but make comparisons to The new York Dolls and Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers, but that’s ok because Foreign Islands are also from the big apple, and we don’t mind that classic New York sound being revived one little bit.
