FREEFALL COLLECTIVE
KERMIT’S CRAFTY COCONUT’ /‘LOOSEN UP
RESIN

Resin adds to its arsenal of dub weaponry by signing live tunesmiths, Freefall Collective. Now the chances are, if you’ve been to any festival in the last couple of years that’s had a breaks contingent, then you’ll have witnessed the crowd pleasing antics of this fine five-piece. ‘Kermit’s….’ is a stomping example of raw dirty dub that will have crowds jumping up and down in unison with its skanking ‘rub-a-dub’ foundation-shaking bass shenanigans. ‘Loosen Up’ really sounds like the sound of a live band translating what it does on stage into a fine production. There’s at least three vocalists playing off each other on this relentless soulful funker and you can almost feel the whole band moving back and forth across the stage waving their arms and gesticulating wildly in a way that could only mean that they’re enjoying themselves immensely performing this rolling funk. The sounds of good times, out doors at a summer festival! Mmm!
