Lanky dancer from the Prodigy, Leeroy, has joined forces with a teutonic pal as Smash Hi Fi to craft a stomping electro-groover with a distinctly synthetic driving bassline as its foundation. Rising synths, an off the wall vocal and sharp electronic hits punctuate this chunky, heads down 4/4 hip-shaker. Leeroy has joined forces with another pal as Jagged Slap, and under this guise they have put together the slightly more broken ’10 pence short’, which has a nod towards old rave, a little wink in the general direction of acid house, whilst subtly prodding chunky progressive breaks. Meanwhile, The Wrongstars inject a bit more bass into their remix.
