It has been 5 years since Tim’s last album under his Coburn guise. With a slew of big room releases the logical progression was his debut solo album. After a spoken word intro from Peep Show’s Super Hans, MC SirReal and Tim’s impeccable production and dancefloor savvy beats set the tone; dirty electro bass, breakbeat, urban mash up stylee, club music. The album is predominantly electro, 4/4, but Tim has an uncanny knack of giving each track a breakbeat, urban twist. You can see why Deekline teamed up with him on their Giant Pussy label). There’s collabs with Calvertron, Tomcraft and a host of vocalists including dancehall reggae legend Top Cat’s tasty slice of booty breakbeat reaggatron. ‘Tommy Finn’, a dark down tempo album interlude, sees a spoken word narrative depicting a shadowy Tarantino-esque world. Great track. Overall a very big album with some huge club cuts and hip-hop, urban and dance-hall beats.
