Occasionally I still proudly sport my Suck My Deck t-shirt dating from the days when they’d let me near theirs. Now the immortal slogan graces compilations like this raucous kneesup from Berlin’s Alex Ridha, following Simian Mobile Disco’s previous aural beef ejaculation. There’s unsurprisingly a lot of new European tackle from names like Surkin, Justice and Feadz, Shadow Dancer off his self-titled label, cutting edge electonic foraging from names like Modeselektor, DJ KOze and the requisite dose of formative classics – a particularly fine bunch here including Reel 2 Real, Alter Ego and Marshall Jefferson’s ‘Video Clash’ being mixed with Laurie Anderson’s ‘O Superman’. It was at this point the notion was sealed that this guy is a shit-hot DJ. Definitely a set to blow up your toilet.
