Chris Coco’s second album for Distinctive is a top drawer album of relaxed grooves, warm moods and fuzzy textures that should be drifting out of many an open window or bar this summer. Sure, it’s another chill out album, but this one shows the others how it’s done, from the gorgeously humid ‘Searching For The Balearic Heartbeat’ to the more aggressive bass sound of ‘Just Another Steamy Afternoon In Suburbia’, a downtempo track Hybrid would be proud of. The continuously segued album moves with exactly the right momentum and takes in both vocal and instrumental, rewarding listening effort but also content to float around your consciousness. For once, a chill out album you must hear.
