Life doesn’t get much better than Spinna’s soulfully charged remix of ‘Days Like This’ by Shaun Escoffery and it’s that smooth combination of emotive chords plus crisp beats that typifies many of his remixes, and which go make to make them so compelling as witnessed on this compilation of his excellent work. Reading like a who’s who in terms of Soulful House music the productions are all first rate featuring original artists of the caliber of Louie Vega, Tortured Soul, and Kerri Chandler to name but a special few. Spread out across two equally wonderful CD’s its fair to say every track sounds like a standout with his intense rework of Fertile Ground ‘Live In The Light’ and ‘Without Your Love’ by Tone Control sounding particularly hot. ‘The Sound Beyond Stars’ is certainly Soulful, but is also tough, at times unforgiving music that strikes at the very heart of the matter.
