In 2002, Sasha and John Digweed set out on an ambitious eight week, 31-date tour of the US, bringing their exemplary mixing skills to the clubs of Miami, Texas and California to name but a few. This documentary follows them on the journey, taking in the sets, the light shows, and more importantly the behind the scenes tension that goes with their first gig in Florida, then the fatigue as the project unfolds. The pair make relaxed and frank interviewees, but as the journey unfolds the importance of their support staff becomes ever clearer. Jimmy Van M is prominent too as the mastermind behind the project, and it would have been good to see a bit more of his support sets, but the music – mostly Bedrock fare – is outstanding, and comes into its own on an accompanying 20 minute visual mix. A captivating documentary, well worth watching for all dance music fans.
