Setting the funked-up scene, the Finger Lickin’ All Stars – a kind of label supergroup – let the exclusive ‘2 Da Break’ build a lofty platform on which subsequently perch such birdseed-blasters as Soul of Man’s ‘Sukdat’ and a stream of turbo-romps from names like Plump DJs, Drumattic Twins, Slyde, Stereo 8, Brothers Bud and Jemstone & JC. You know the score, and have probably already blasted the cranium, twitched the limbs or pulled the pud to these, but it’s good having them allin one enclosure.
