The digital mix compilation is a new venture for Renaissance, and looks set to become a trend for more and more labels as the medium gathers strength. Paolo Mojo’s contribution is in an expertly paced house mix, starting with his own ‘Paris’ and gradually upping the ante as the mix progresses. Early highlights are Habersham’s ‘Dryspell’ and Joris Voorn’s ‘Rejected’, but once things really get going Mojo comes back to finish strongly with ‘Dark Place’ and the Pema remix of ‘Paris’, revisiting where it all began. This is powerful, driven house music with immediate impact, from a DJ whose star is very definitely on the rise.
