Defected once again surpass themselves as they present the ever-reliable Dave Lee a.k.a. Joey Negro to preside over a selection of outstanding tracks spanning the past three decades to the current day. The magical thing here is that you are effortlessly transported between each era by the flick of a switch without even realising its happened. And, any compilation which has the bravado to combine Roxy Music, Imagination and The O’Jays from yesteryear with the likes of Blaze and Roy Davies from now has to be worth its weight in gold. Basically all you need to know is No.12 in the series is packed full of goodies and no fillers, all of which have been eagerly crafted together with plenty of extra creative touches from Mr. Lee. Another feather in the cap.
