On this evidence, Norken’s memories of winter are pretty good ones, although you’ll do well to stay awake through the whole album! That’s not a criticism, it merely illustrates just how chilled out these tracks really are. Royksopp are an obvious parallel to draw but if anything Norken’s Lee Norris goes deeper, ultra cool chords washing over the texture. That said, he’s not afraid to throw in the odd classy piece of deep house or techno, of which ‘Flirt’ is a prime example. A sublime late night listening experience, tinged with melancholia.
