RADIO SLAVE PRESENTS
CREATURE FROM THE NIGHT
ESKIMO

As far as mix albums go, Eskimo take the cake for eclectic madness and dropping the most unlikely tackle which, in the context of their desire to soundtrack early hours carnage, works a treat when it shouldn’t. Here, Matt Edwards, who’s having a fantastic year what with his Rekid and other productions, unashamedly manages to plonk Corey bleedin’ Hart and an obscure Osmonds disco mix in the same company as Green Velvet and Joe Smooth! And it sounds totally natural. Rub N Tug’sown album was a joy and they’re here working their eccentric boogie magic on Sly Mongoose’s ‘Snakes And Ladders’. On a darker tip, there’s his mix of The Kills’ ‘No Wow’ [formerly only available on promo] and on an upfront level Xpress 2’s new ‘Kill 100’. A gloriously degenerate collection.
