SPACE TRANQUIL
MIXED BY JON SA TRINXA
AZULI

The procedure of hitting Ibiza’s Salinas beach then the club of your choice, before topping the morning off at Space, is something everybody should experience at least once in their lifetime. Playa Salinas is a peaceful haven, the perfect spot for warming up or chilling out afterwards. Jon Sa Trinxa provides the soundtrack to what has to be the closest thing to paradise in this world. I think I’ve shaken the man’s hand, on more than one occasion. Here, in conjunction with Space and Azuli, he presents 18 sublime gems, kicking off with Danny Michel’s version of Bowie’s ‘Ashes To Ashes’, before gliding through a pastoral, slow-motion cool-out from names like Max Sedgley, Layo & Bushwacka [with Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald], Nightmares On Wax,  the Funky Lowlives, Mint Royale and Chris Coco vs A Man Called Adam with ‘Nadia’. You get the [quite delirious] drift. Even fey oddities like Patrick & Eugene’s version of Simon & Garfunkel’s ’59th Street Bridge Song [Feelin’ Groovy]’ sound like fun. Whether it takes you back to a beautiful time or makes you wish you were there, off your head, on the beach or just at home on a warm afternoon, this is spirit-massaging perfection.
