The second album from French trio Telepopmusik is another excursion into light electronica, but with enough sensibility to throw in plenty of other styles and influences to keep things cooking. After a couple of torch song vocals from Angela McCluskey and Deborah Anderson, who share vocal duties, the album makes pleasing diversions into jazz (‘Love’s Almighty’), a whispered rap from Mau (‘Last Train To Wherever’) and an instrumental arrangement strongly reminiscent of Nellee Hooper’s best work (‘Swamp’). An ideal come-down album.
