Three CDs of house music mixed by the same DJ. Not an easy trick to pull off, but it’s one that Lee Burridge has clearly invested a lot of time and application on, as it works brilliantly. Each CD has its niche, so that the first is deep, cool and quite mellow in its blend of Ferrer & Sydenham Inc, Hug and Ripperton. CD2 is a bit more upfront but still casts a hypnotic spell with tracks like Onur Ozer’s ‘Orion’. However it’s CD3 where the gloves are off, and Tomas Andersson sets the tone for some heavy bass action with ‘Dubbel Problematik’, Burridge driving forward relentlessly with Gabriel Ananda, Autotune and Luca Bacchetti. Another outstanding addition to the ‘Balance’ series, brilliantly realised by a very fine DJ.
