Third in the series sees Australian DJ Ben Korbel excelling himself with a sublime mix of finely-woven deep techno and house which mingles current and classics to intoxicating effect. Hard to believe that, although he’s been at it for around a decade, this is Ben’s debut but his experience in rocking parties around the world shines through a selection which includes names like Luciano, Gray Cassy, Swayzak, Strike, Villalobos and Freaks [with ‘Discorobot’]. After setting up a luxurious, dreamy vibe he starts piling on the pressure around the time of Der Dritte Raum’s ‘Luna Llena’ and Matt O’Brien’s ‘Serotone’, peaking with LFO Vs Fuse’s monstrous ‘Loop’. It doesn’t hit you over the head but works insidiously, establishing its own personalised form of dancefloor abandon. Marvellous.
