Let’s celebrate! Legendary NYC imprint Strictly Rhythm is back in business with a string of releases from the usual suspects (Todd Terry, Mood II Swing…). A new addition to this ever-impressive roster is Quentin Harris who delivers a groovy hypnotic track (the classic M1 bassline’s making a comeback) onto which Cordel McClary has laid inspired soulful vocals. ‘You Don’t Know’ is not a cover of the disco-sampling Armand Van Helden smash but a solid trippy gospel-ish thing that’s not contrived and definitely a little edgy.
