FABRIC LIVE 24 MIXED BY DIPLO
FABRIC

It’s all systems go for Fabric’s latest, with Diplo an intriguing choice for a party set that shows a passion for hip hop, electro and leftfield beats. Whilst some of the tracks here will be all too familiar – ‘Windowlicker’ appears once again – he shows considerable skill in blending 80s classics such as Yazoo’s ‘Don’t Go’ with quality modern stuff from Two Culture Clash and MIA, whose debut album Diplo produced. His master stroke, however, comes with The Cure’s ‘Love Song’, which dovetails neatly with Outkast’s ‘B.O.B’ for an unexpected treat, summing up the whole album’s refreshing appeal.
