Now with 250 releases under their belt, Compost can afford a celebration – and naturally do this with a disc of previously unreleased mixes and rarities. Chief among these is Carl Craig’s emotive remix of Beanfield’s ‘Tides’, a powerful opener, but smooth house tracks from Alif Tree and Shahrokh Soundofk also make an impact, together with shorter, cohesive tracks from Koop and Karma. As ever with Compost compilations, new discoveries await – though in all honesty this is worth acquiring for Craig’s mix alone.
