Sharam delivered a blinder from Dubai last year, and now it’s Dubfire’s turn. But while the Deep Dish boys seem to be uncannily shadowing each other’s solo moves, this is a strongly distinctive pair of mixes. CD1 drops more heavyweights, wading in with Julien Jabre, Kerri Chandler and Booka Shade before really letting rip with the storming Peace Division remix of Lula’s ‘The DJ, The Music & Me’. The second disc is faster and a bit darker, adding an electro bite typified by Oliver Huntemann & Stephan Bodzin’s new mix of Depeche Mode’s ‘Everything Counts’, before two excellent Samuel L Session tracks. Always driving forward, this is a cracking double from Dubfire – every bit as good as his band mate.
