Late Night Tales – Fatboy Slim
Azuli

It makes perfect sense really – Fatboy Slim on the decks in the twilight
hours. And with a career such as he’s had, you can bet the music choices are
going to be fun and varied. And so it proves – by the end of this
compilation you really feel like you’ve been entertained, charmed, surprised
and introduced to something new. There’s an excellent dub section from Mr
Cook that includes Dave and Ansell Collins’ ‘Monkey Spanner’, some late
night soul in Angie Stone’s ‘Wish I Didn’t Miss You’ or some further out
treats from Taj Mahal and Yoro Kery Goro. To round off there’s a Fatboy Slim
cover of Kraftwerk’s ‘Radioactivity’. This is a lot more extravert than
previous offerings in the series – and if you want to continue the party, it
proves an ideal soundtrack to proceedings.
