Le Chic shouldn’t be confused with the Nile Rogers-inspired disco lords – it is in fact made up of Spanish DJs Susana and Rebeca. Together they present a well structured mix that moves from mellow deepness to upfront hedonism with ease. This can occasionally surprise but in a good way, as the beats and synth lines sharpen with Sistema & Rafid Noy and Activator after an opening of more mellow, tech-based music. The mix becomes progressively more trance-based with Inaqui Marin’s ‘Automato’ and Davis & May’s ‘White Flag Black’ before the big finish, a cunning blend of 80s synths and more modern trance from Hypnosis.
