John Digweed’s six-monthly ‘Transitions’ series moves on with this twenty track mix – unusual to see Digweed cramming so much material onto a single CD but it keeps things tight. As with most of his mixes the mid to lower range is key, but COMA’s ‘Coma 1’ and Marc Marzenit’s ‘Spheere’ ensure we’re up to speed early on. With spacey contributions from Reshuffle and Pelle Buys, Digweed then turns up the heat for Ink and Needle’s ‘Seven’ and the excellent Wink remix of Someone Else’s ‘Lowdown Brittle’, setting up a convincing finish. More upfront than the first two ‘Transitions’, this pushes the series forward nicely.
