To celebrate 25 years of one of the UK’s most notable producers ZTT have released the self-explanatory “Produced By Trevor Horn”. Its not as if you have to admire absolutely everything on here either to be impressed by the sheer scale of influence he has had over the years so take your pick, though I do have a friend whose eyes lit-up at the prospect of hearing Dollar again – each to their own, I suppose. However anyone who can produce the classic beauty of Art Of Noise, “Moments in love” and the sheer sexiness of Grace Jones, “Slave to the rhythm” definitely deserves a meddle. Indeed its quite surprising to remember he also worked his magic on Malcolm McLaren’s seminal, “Buffalo girls” along with ABC, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and even Yes. The list goes on though I do have to draw the line at TaTu, well wouldn’t you.
