Having put his hands up for Detroit it was perhaps inevitable that Fedde Le Grand should end up doing a Ministry Sessions – but this is a pair of cracking mixes, and in particular the second which takes jagged, twisted disco house as its start point. Kenton Slash Demon, Trevor Loveys, the bouncy Switch and powerful Martijn Ten Velden/Lucien Foort collaboration ‘Bassification’ – all make a mix with plenty of zip. CD1 is by no means outclassed either, with more emphasis on vocal house – Sabrina Johnston fronting Soul Elementz ‘My Way Out’ and Katherine Ellis on Prom’s ‘Do It’ two of the best. Finishing strongly with Roog & Greg and Funkerman, Le Grand mixes well and delivers two strong party mixes.
