Subliminal’s brand of meaty house music has brought Erick Morillo’s label a lot of success in the last couple of years, so it’s no surprise to learn the formula pretty much remains the same here. Jorge Jaramillo (one half of Who Da Funk) explodes out of the box with several of the duo’s productions and Future Funk giving a really solid CD1 – heavy on the bass, just as it should be. For the second mix there’s a touch of complacency in the usual ‘Most Precious Love’ slot, but other than this the going is good, with the productions of Scanner and Oliver Moldan shining through – the second contributing a fine Balearic number in ‘Second Sessions’. Pretty much business as usual, then.
